Curse Icon friends and fans! We NEED YOUR HELP! Curse Icon has entered the Toledo Blade's Battle of the Bands. In order to ensure our place in the performance battle, we need to generate enough online votes to qualify. There is some pretty tough competition and we need you to help us win a slot in the live battle portion of the competition.

The countdown to the vote has begun. On May 28th they will open the gates to let the public in to vote. However all pre-register voters will be allowed to start voting early on May 23rd. So we need you to REGISTER TODAY so we can get ahead of the curve. Simply click here to register and start voting. You can also visit the battle site on Myspace [click here]. Get your friends to register early and vote too because this portion of the competition is a "popularity contest" and not really about the music. So we need your help to ensure that your band Curse Icon is heard in the competition.

Curse Icon is a band that has overcome enumerable challenges. Invigorated by the loyalty and kindness of our fans, we push forever foward, trudging through the hardest times to keep the music alive and give the fans more Curse Icon.

We are no strangers to the patient virtue of putting together the right mix of personality and talent. We've been through some changes together, but it's all in an effort to ensure that Curse Icon will make it to YOUR town and deliver the BEST performance we can possible bring you.

For the past few months, we have been patiently rebuilding the line-up to bring you what you expect from Curse Icon—a powerful live performance, and most importantly a new Curse Icon CD. The band has found new inspiration with the talent and dedication of additions Smokey and Chase in the Curse Icon line-up. We are extremely excited about the new material and a new record is on the horizon. Check out our Lyrics page for new song lyrics.

We are deep into production on an exciting new record that we're hoping to release by late next summer. With one new track already added to our live show, we are relentlessly working to bring you more. The new song "The War Inside" is currently being played at our upcoming live performances. The new music also has a richer, more aggressive approach while keeping the same solid song writing formula you've come to expect from Cure Icon. It's VERY exciting. We will also be video taping our writing/prepro sessions and including the footage in our new video blogs that will be starting sometime next month on YouTube.

The band is on the rise and with solid, dependable members in place, it's only a matter of time that we make it to your neck of the woods and beyond. Curse Icon announces the unveiling of the new Curse Icon Halo Guitars Signature Series at the N.A.M.M. 2007 Summer Convention in Austin, Texas. We will be at the convention Friday, July 27 - Sunday July 29. Along with the N.A.M.M. Convention the band will be playing a showcase sponsored by Halo Guitars and Diamond Amplification on Saturday, July 28 at Club Elysium in Austin, Texas.
